Siemens is to deliver components for a waste-from-energy facility being developed in Hull for Energy Works.

The German company will supply a SST-600 enhanced platform industrial steam turbine, a SGen5-100A generator, a SPPA-T3000 instrumentation and control system and a 35-MVA power transformer.

The SST-600 steam turbine, which has an electrical capacity of 30MW, will be built in Görlitz and the generator in Berlin, Siemens said.

Siemens has been contracted by M+W Group, which is building the plant for Energy Works.

The facility is expected to begin supplying energy in March 2018.
