Sempra makes Minnesota moves
Vestas to start delivery of V110 units in late July for 78MW project

Crews have wrapped up access road construction at Sempra US Gas & Power’s 78MW Black Oak Getty wind project in Minnesota.
“In the coming weeks, work will continue on the turbine foundations, generation tie-line and the installation of the collection system,” Sempra communications director Steve Schooff told reNEWS.
Danish manufacturer Vestas is expected to start delivery of 39 V110 2MW turbines in late July.
General contractor AMEC Foster Wheeler won the engineering, procurement and construction contract. At peak construction, the project will employ about 250 workers.
“The Black Oak Getty wind project is expected to be placed into operation safely and on time in late 2016,” said Schooff.
The output will be sold to the Minnesota Municipal Power Agency under a 20-year contract.
