Bladt Industries has completed and loaded out the last six transition pieces for the 402MW Veja Mate offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.
The Danish fabricator manufactured a total of 67 transition pieces for the project within 14 months.
“Despite this very tight time schedule, all transition pieces were fabricated and delivered without any delays,” Bladt said.
The transition pieces have a diameter of up to 6.8 metres, an average weight of 325 tons, and a length of approximately 22 metres, the company said.
Bladt Industries worked with EEW SPC on the fabrication before delivering to Offshore Windforce, a joint venture between Boskalis and Volker Stevin International that is installing the foundations at Veja Mate.
The wind farm’s shareholders are Siemens Financial Services, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners and Highland Group Holdings.
