Huisman lands Asian orders
Two pedestal mounted cranes to be delivered to Japan and Singapore clients
Dutch lifting specialist Huisman has won contracts to deliver two pedestal mounted cranes in Japan and Singapore for use in the offshore wind sector.
The company will supply an 800 metric tonne crane to Japan Marine United and a 100 metric tonne machine to Sembcorp Marine unit Jurong Shipyard, it said.
Deliveries are scheduled for April 2018 and March 2018, respectively.
The 800mt crane will be installed on a new Penta-Ocean Construction vessel to erect offshore wind turbines, Huisman said.
The 100mt crane will be installed on Heerema’s new semi-submersible crane vessel Sleipnir.
“We truly cherish these new collaborations and we are grateful for the trust of our clients,” Huisman chief executive Joop Roodenburg said.
“We consider the new 800mt pedestal mounted crane order as the icing on the cake and see this order as a first step in the development of our market share in Japan”.
