Late-stage 150MW Deerfield wind farm in Michigan features V110 hardware
Vestas is investigating a pair of blade breakages at the 150MW Deerfield wind farm in central Michigan.
The Algonquin Power wind farm features 44 V110 2MW machines and 28 V110 2.2MW units and is in the late stages of construction.
The Danish turbine manufacturer said: “The site has been safely secured and Vestas is working with Algonquin to conduct a thorough investigation to determine the root cause of the blade breaks.”
It added: "No injuries or other material damage resulted from these incidents.”
Deerfield is due to be fully operational before the end of the year.
