John Laing Environmental Assets Group (JLEN) made three acquisitions in the six months ended September 2016, bringing the value of its renewable energy portfolio £320.7m

The new investments totalled £52m and the company now has 18 renewable energy projects in its portfolio totalling 173.4MW.

JLEN said it has a “strong pipeline of assets for further growth”, both under the first offer agreement with the John Laing Group and from third parties.

Company chairman Richard Morse said: “The board is encouraged by the progress during the first half of the year.

“The operational and financial performance has been generally encouraging, underlining the strength of our diversified portfolio.”
