DNV GL backs John Laing play
Due diligence carried out on 29.7MW Horath wind farm investment
DNV GL has assisted John Laing Group with its investment in the 29.7MW Horath wind farm in the Rhineland-Palatinate region of Germany.
The company said it conducted technical due diligence for John Laing with a focus on verifying the estimated energy yield of the project, which comprises nine Vestas V112 3.3MW turbines.
Construction was completed at the end of September and Horath is expected to be fully commissioned before the end of the year, DNV GL said.
The project also has a 20-year feed-in tariff, the company added.
John Laing senior investment manager John Stephens said: “Before we invest, it is essential we have the unbiased technical assessment from an independent partner to reveal any risks and future costs.
“In carrying out due diligence on Horath, DNV GL helped our decision making, including a detailed review of its estimated energy yield.”
