AEP issues Ohio wind call
Proposals sought for up to 250MW of generating capacity
US utility American Electric Power (AEP) has issued a request for proposals to source up to 250MW of wind capacity in Ohio.
AEP Ohio is seeking proposals from generating projects with at least 10MW each, it said.
They need to be submitted by 16 February.
The unit has also issued a separate request for proposals for up to 100MW of solar projects.
AEP Ohio last month committed to develop 500MW of new wind generation and 400MW of solar capacity in the US state.
So far it has secured long-term power purchase agreements for 100MW and 99MW wind farms as well as a 10MW solar park.
