Landowner seeks Riabhach review
Wildland Ltd to challenge government’s approval of 72.6MW project
Private landowner Wildland Ltd is seeking a judicial review into the Scottish government’s decision to approve the 72.6MW Creag Riabhach wind farm in the Highlands.
Wildland Ltd, which is owned by Danish billionaire Anders Povlsen, is concerned about the number of wind farms in the area, according to local press reports.
The 22-turbine project will be located on the Altnaharra Estate, near Lairg, in the North Highlands, and provide £9m in community benefits.
The tip heights are set at 125 metres and hardware of up to 3.3MW will feature.
