EDF powers Oklahoma wind
225MW Great Western project features Vestas V100 and V117 machines
EDF Renewable Energy has started commercial operations at the 225MW Great Western wind farm in Oklahoma.
The project, which is located in Woodward and Ellis counties, comprises 30 3.3MW V117 and 63 2MW V100 wind turbines supplied by Vestas.
Electricity generated by the facility is being sold to Google under a long-term power purchase agreement.
EDF Renewable Services will provide balance-of-plant operations and maintenance for the facility.
