Race wears substation jacket
Seaway Heavy Lifting will now install the topside at the 573MW project
Seaway Heavy Lifting (SHL) has installed the jacket foundation for the second and final offshore substation at the 573MW Race Bank wind farm in the North Sea.
SHL will now add the 2900-tonne topside, which together with the jacket was fabricated by Engie Fabricom and Iemants.
The first substation was installed at the project site off the Norfolk coast last August.
Race Bank is set to come online next year and will feature 91 Siemens 6.3MW turbines.
