Levator, Gridin's to deliver 30 transition pieces for the offshore wind farm

Finnish steel structure manufacturer Levator and Lithuanian project manager Gridin’s Group are to supply 30 transition pieces to the 588MW Beatrice offshore wind farm in Scotland.
The partners expect to deliver the 150-tonne structures to Bladt Industries in the third quarter of 2017, Gridin’s said.
Beatrice wind farm will feature 84 Siemens 7MW turbines to be installed next year.
“The fabrication process of the transition pieces at the Levator facilities in Hanko, Finland, has begun,” project production manager Aleksandr Shamov said.
“The project will be managed by a joint management team consisting of 25 leading specialists from both companies, Gridin‘s Group and Levator, applying the experience gained a year ago while performing works at the Wikinger project.”
