LM Wind breaks ground in France
Construction works start at Cherbourg blade facility
LM Wind Power has started building a blade factory dedicated to the offshore market in France.
The first stone of the facility in Cherbourg will be placed today, according to the French energy ministry.
The factory is being built on a site developed by Ports Normands Associés, a port authority that includes the Normandy region and the Manche Department.
It is expected to start production in June 2018, producing blades for 6MW GE turbines.
