SHL primed for Beatrice start gun
Heavy-lift vessel Stanislav Yudin to begin pre-piling
Seaway Heavy Lifting has arrived in the Moray Firth to begin offshore construction at the site of the 588MW Beatrice offshore wind farm off Scotland.
The contractor’s heavy-lift vessel Stanislav Yudin (pictured) will tackle pre-piling work starting on 1 April.
The job will smooth the path to full turbine jacket installation at the project site later this year.
Beatrice will feature 84 Siemens 7MW turbines once commissioned in 2019.
It is being developed by SSE, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners and Red Rock Power.
