First power at Nordsee 1
332MW wind farm in the German North Sea starts delivering electricity
The 332MW Nordsee 1 wind farm in the German North Sea has exported its first power to the mainland.
The first Senvion 6.2M-126 turbine exported electricity to the German grid, developer Innogy said.
MPI Offshore jack-up vessel MPI Enterprise has installed seven machines at the construction site located some 40km north of the island of Juist.
The first of the 54 wind turbines was erected earlier this month while GeoSea installed the final foundation last April.
The Innogy and Northland Power wind farm is due to go live by late September or early October.
