K2 behind CIP Texas play
Consultancy advises on investment in 197MW Bearkat 1 wind farm
Consultancy K2 Management advised on Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners’ (CIP) investment in the 196.7MW Bearkat 1 onshore wind farm in Texas.
The five-month contract included a technical review of the project, consultation on capital and operational expenditure budgets, environmental permitting and crossing agreements.
It also included a review and de-risking of the EPC, turbine supply and all operations and maintenance contracts.
K2 US managing director Carsten Ploug Jensen said: “We were delighted to deliver acquisition due diligence services on CIP’s first equity investment in US onshore wind.”
The wind farm, which is located in Glasscock county, will consist of 57 Vestas V126 3.45MW turbines and is expected to start commercial operations later this year.
