Zephir benefits from French ties
Link with Meteodyn to help lidar measurement in complex terrain
Zephir Lidar and Meteodyn have collaborated on a system to improve lidar wind measurements in complex terrains.
The duo said they conducted an 18-month study to develop the new solution.
The partners used the Meteodyn WT to compute a set of ‘factors’ that enable the conversion of measurements from a Zephir 300 wind lidar into comparable point measurements similar to those from conventional anemometry.
The process “enables the traceability required by consultants for continued project financing based on data from Zephir 300 alone by reducing the uncertainty between remote sensors and traditional anemometry in complex terrain”, the companies said.
