Acciona has started building the 132MW Mount Gellibrand wind farm in the Australian state of Victoria.

The project, estimated to cost A$258m ($194m), will feature 44 Nordex AW125/3000 turbines mounted on 87.5 metre steel towers.

The developer has an agreement to sell power into the wholesale electricity market.

Mount Gellibrand is due to be completed in 2018.

Acciona already generates 302.5MW of wind power from three projects in Australia, including the 192MW Waubra project (pictured) making it the company's fourth-largest market behind Spain, the US and Mexico.
