Danes unite for US offshore
Suppliers form alliance to lend support to emerging sector
Danish offshore wind companies have joined forces to offer the design and production of substations and wind turbine foundations for the emerging US market.
The alliance includes Bladt, ISC Consulting Engineers, LICengineering and Semco Maritime, as well as the Trade Council of Denmark’s wind energy advisory division.
The alliance is seeking partnership with US companies and developers.
The Danish government is already sharing its regulatory experiences through a partnership with America's Bureau of Ocean Energy Management.
"We are eager to build on that by creating partnerships with US companies as they go through a similar process of building an offshore wind industry, and the supply chain for it, in the US," Denmark's ambassador to the US, Lars Gert Lose, said.
