CIP scores 1.5GW Taiwan triple
MoU signed with China Shipbuilding for supply and installation services
Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) has acquired three offshore wind sites under development in Taiwan totalling 1.5GW.
The three sites are all located off the Changhua coast in the Taiwan Strait and have been developed up to now by Fuhai Wind Farm Corp.
CIP has also entered into a memorandum of understanding with local Taiwanese company China Shipbuilding Corp for supply and installation services.
“Further development of the sites will be undertaken by CIP in collaboration with local partner Taiwan Generations Corp,” CIP said.
It added that the three projects are in the process of applying for environmental permits and are still subject to a final investment decision.
The acquisitions have been made through the Copenhagen Infrastructure II and Copenhagen Infrastructure III funds.
