Dudgeon hits CfD landmark
First phase started generation on 27 April
The first phase of Statoil's 402MW Dudgeon offshore wind farm off the coast of Norfolk has started generation under its Contract for Difference.
The Low Carbon Contracts Company said the 90MW phase began generation for the purposes of the CfD on 27 April.
A further 312MW is expected to come on line as part of the second and third phases over the coming months.
When fully built, the project will feature 67 Siemens 6MW turbines.
Dudgeon is the fourth CfD project in LCCC’s portfolio to commission, following a solar project, a biomass conversion project and the Burbo Bank 2 offshore wind farm.
