Wirsol opens Oz office
Germans investing A$380m in three solar projects in Australia
German solar developer Wirsol has opened an office in Sydney to coordinate the development of photovoltaic plants in Australia.
The move follows an announcement in March of the founding of an Australian subsidiary and the construction of three solar farms in Queensland and Victoria representing investment of A$380m.
Development of the Australian office has been organised by Mark Hogan, managing director of Wirsol’s UK subsidiary Wirsol Energy Limited.
Wirsol managing director Peter Vest said: “Thanks to its holdings Wirsol is today already a leading project developer in sustainable energy on the Australian continent. We would like to maintain and further expand this position in future.”
