A unit of Rockfire Capital has acquired a 105MW portfolio of UK solar farms from Germany's Wircon Group for an undisclosed sum.
The portfolio comprises 19 solar farms, including two in Northern Ireland, and adds to Rockfire's recent purchase of a solar PV array at a Rolls-Royce site in Bristol.
The deal was completed in two months, according to Rockfire chief executive Liam Kavanagh, who said the company was also upping its deal pipeline.
"We previously confirmed a 200MW pipeline, this is now increasing to 400MW," Kavanagh said.
The portfolio was sold to Rockfire Energy by Wircon's UK and Australian arm, Wirsol.
