Natural Power, Fred Olsen Windcarrier and SubC Partner have joined forces to offer an offshore wind turbine inspection service that aims to reduce downtime.

The partners will officially launch on 6 June at the Offshore Wind Energy 2017 event in London.

The service will provide clients with the opportunity to pick and choose from a list of inspection services under one contract.

“This will offer lower costs and reduced contract complexity, saving time and lowering operational risk for clients,” the partners said.

They added that the offering will include full inspection scope, analysis and reporting and fixed pricing.

Natural Power international director Pieter d’Haen said: “Ongoing inspection work is vital when it comes to maintaining, repairing and maximising output from offshore assets but often requires some of the fleet to be out of operation until work is complete.

“By combining our service offerings we can ensure downtime is minimised by coordinating inspections through one contractual interface, reducing inspection duration, and ensuring efficient and safe operations through close communication between vessel and inspection crew, thus also driving cost efficiencies.”
