Danish offshore notch in Lillebaelt
Sonderborg Forsyning to investigate up to 160MW offshore project
Danish company Sonderborg Forsyning has been given the permission to investigate a potential 160MW offshore wind farm in Denmark.
Officials cleared preliminary studies in the Lillebaelt between Funen and the east coast of Jutland through the end of next year as part of the open-door application.
The project is expected to feature between 20 and 44 turbines.
The outcome of investigations will be submitted to the Danish Energy Agency and inform any eventual consideration of a full wind farm project.
“The results of the feasibility studies may require that the project be completely or partically modified in relation to the application or that the project should not be implemented,” said the DEA.
