EDF offloads Oklahoma stake
Alliant Energy takes 50% interest in 225MW Great Western wind farm
EDF Renewable Energy has agreed to sell a 50% interest in the 225MW Great Western wind farm in Oklahoma to Alliant Energy Corp.
The project, which is located in Woodward and Ellis counties, comprises 30 V117 3.3MW and 63 V100 2MW Vestas turbines.
It has been online since December 2016 delivering electricity to Google under a long-term power purchase agreement.
EDF remains a 50% co-owner and will provide a portion of the operations and maintenance services as well as 24-hour remote monitoring from its control center.
The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and “customary conditions precedent”, EDF said.
