Vattenfall has started commercial operations at the 54.4MW Ray wind farm in the UK’s northeast.
The £90m project, which is located near Kirkwhelpington in Northumberland, features 16 Senvion 3.4M104 wind turbines.
Scottish civil engineering firm RJ McLeod’s prepared the site for turbine installation.
Vattenfall head of business area wind Gunnar Groebler said: “Vattenfall continues to grow its wind business in the UK with Ray wind farm now fully operational.
“I would like to congratulate Vattenfall colleagues and contractors for a job safely done, on time and to budget.”
