Greencoat plans UK, Irish listing
Company plans to raise €250m to help expand wind portfolio
Greencoat Renewables is planning to raise €250m and list on the London and Irish stock exchanges.
The company said the new funds will be used to acquire more operating wind farms in Ireland and, in time, wind and solar assets in other Eurozone countries.
In March, the company acquired a portfolio of operating wind farms in Ireland totalling 137MW.
Funding for the acquisition came from the National Treasury Management Agency, an Irish financial institution, Greencoat said.
Greencoat Renewables non-executive chairman Ronan Murphy said: “The company has an attractive seed portfolio of operating Irish onshore wind assets and our intention to raise new capital and list on the Irish and London stock exchanges is an exciting next step.”
Irish law firm McCann FitzGerald were legal advisors to Greencoat.
