Ribbon cutting ceremony for new office to take place on 29 June
Vineyard Wind will officially open its new office in New Bedford on 29 June.
The developer said a ribbon cutting ceremony will be held between 4pm and 7pm, which will be attended by New Bedford Mayor Jon Mitchell and several state representatives.
Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners and Iberdrola subsidiary Avangrid Renewables each have 50% stakes in the 1GW Vineyard Wind development off the coast of Massachusetts.
Vineyard Wind chief executive Erich Stephens said: “Offshore wind will bring real economic opportunity to this region, and Mayor Mitchell and the members of our legislature recognize how it can benefit New Bedford and the south coast.”
