CWind extends Duddon deal
Three CTVs aiding O&M at Dong’s 389MW project in the Irish Sea
Dong Energy has granted CWind a two-year extension to its existing three-year crew transfer vessel (CTV) contract at the 389MW West of Duddon Sands offshore wind farm in the Irish Sea.
CWind will provide vessels for operations and maintenance at the 108-turbine project.
Three of CWind’s 18-strong fleet of CTVs have been deployed at the project, comprising a pair of 19-metre resin-infused multi-purpose catamarans and one small water-plane.
CWind managing director Lee Andrews said: “This extension to our contract with Dong Energy is a fantastic achievement that reflects the great service we consistently deliver to customers.”
West of Duddon Sands head of operations Steven Clarke said: “The crew vessels CWind have provided over the last three years have had a high utilisation factor and we very much look forward to continuing our work together.”
