Damages totalling $325m claimed over contracts dispute

Invenergy goes to court in Poland image

Affiliates of Invenergy are taking legal action against Polish energy company Tauron Polska Energia.

The action has been taken because of a dispute over long-term power purchase agreements with four wind farms owned by the affiliates.

The Invenergy companies are claiming damages totalling $325m.

Invenergy founder and chief executive Michael Polsky said: “This case will test the assumptions of our original investment decision.”
