Siemens Gamesa wins in Turkey
Consortium with Turkeler and Kalyon to develop 1GW of wind projects
A consortium involving Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy and Turkish companies Turkeler and Kalyon has won the 1GW renewable energy tender in Turkey.
A spokewoman for Siemens Gamesa said the power purchase agreements with the Turkish government are for 15 years at price of $0.0348 per kilowatt-hour.
The first turbines are expected to be grid connected by 2019, she said.
The consortium now has 90 days to specify details of the projects and the technology, the spokeswoman added.
No further details about the size of the projects or the technology have been released, she said.
