Goldwind lands US reward
60MW of turbines ordered by One Energy for ‘wind in industry’ projects
Goldwind Americas is to supply One Energy Enterprises with turbines totalling 60MW for several wind projects in the US.
The deal is part of One Energy Enterprises ‘wind for industry’ project, with the first 20 GW87/1500 machines scheduled for immediate delivery, Goldwind said.
The first four turbines will be installed at wind for industry projects to supply power to Whirlpool Corp facilities in Marion and Ottawa in Ohio.
One Energy plans to stock the Goldwind turbines at its yard in the US in order to shorten the project delivery time to 90 days.
Financing for One Energy’s projects is being provided by Prudential Capital Group as part of a combined senior and subordinated debt facility.
The wind for industry initiative aims to reduce an industrial facility's dependency on the main grid and provide 20 years of rate certainty by installing one or more wind turbines, Goldwind said.
Goldwind Americas chief executive David Halligan said: “We are delighted to be working with One Energy and Prudential Capital in directly powering industrial facilities for some of the largest companies in the US.”
