Acciona on point in Mexico
Contract secured to build 424MW wind farm for Zuma Energia in Reynosa
Acciona Energy has been contracted to construct a 424MW wind farm for Zuma Energía in Reynosa in northeast Mexico.
The contract comprises engineering, procurement, construction, installation and testing of the civil engineering work, the medium-tension network, the power off-take system and the interconnection with the electricity grid, Acciona said.
The Spanish company added that it will build 123 foundations for 3.45MW and 3.6MW turbines, as well as access roads for the project in the state of Tamaulipas.
The work will also involve the installation of a 34kV medium voltage network, 400kV high voltage grid, three substations and 40km of double-circuit lines, Acciona said.
The project is part of 725MW Zuma Energía won in Mexico’s electricity auction in September 2016.
