Galloper next for Bibby SOV
Wavemaster 1 completes sea trials and will sail for UK next week
Bibby Marine Services Wavemaster 1 vessel has completed sea trials in the Black Sea and will shortly set sail for the UK, where it will support offshore construction work at Innogy's 336MW Galloper wind farm off the coast of Suffolk.
Bibby Marine Services commercial director Stephen Bolton told reNEWS that the vessel had successfully completed the trials and will depart for the UK on 17 or 18 August.
James Fisher has chartered the service operation vessel for three months initially to facilitate winter commissioning work at Galloper’s substation and 56 Siemens 6MW turbines.
The contract at Galloper could be extended until the spring, after which Wavemaster 1 (pictured) will sail in April for a North Sea oil and gas job with Total E&P Nederland.
