NatPow sits Dong blade exam
Scots to check 260 turbines at offshore wind projects in UK, Germany
Natural Power has been selected to perform blade inspections on 260 turbines at Dong Energy wind farms in the UK and Germany.
The Scottish consultancy said it has already conducted checks at the Danish group's 630MW London Array and Walney wind farms, and is poised to move onto the 270MW Lincs project.
Inspection results will be used to inform maintenance and repair schedules, Natural Power said.
Natural Power global head of inspections Craig Gordon said: “As an independent provider, we can offer a cost effective and flexible service when it comes to turbine inspections.
"Selected for our ability to deliver best practice and operational efficiency, we are delighted to be working with Dong Energy on its international portfolio.”
