Global training provider HTL Group has added a new wind energy standard to its range of courses at its Northumberland training centre in the UK.

The company said the GWO Basic Technical Training Standard has been developed in response to the demand for basic technical training in the wind industry.

The standard is made up of three modules consisting of hydraulic, mechanical and electrical elements.

HTL Group said the course is suited to all technicians involved in the installation, service and maintenance of wind turbines, as well as people with no previous experience.

HTL Group director director of training Bob Fogerty said: “We’re delighted to now offer delegates the GWO BTT Standard at our Northumberland training centre of excellence.

“With the option to study each module separately or combine them all together, we aim to cater for all needs of the wind sector.”
