The project, which is located in Tottori prefecture, consists of 85,320 Canadian Solar MaxPower modules.

Chugoku Electric Power is buying power generated by the project under a 20-year feed-in-tariff contract at the rate of ¥40.0 ($0.32) per kilowatt hour.

Canadian Solar chairman and chief executive Shawn Qu said: “We will continue to execute on our energy business strategy to develop and deliver more quality solar projects in Japan and other countries.”
