Canadians deliver rising sun
27.3MW solar plant comes online in Tottori prefecture in Japan
Canadian Solar has started commercial operations at a 27.3MW solar photovoltaic power plant in Japan.
The project, which is located in Tottori prefecture, consists of 85,320 Canadian Solar MaxPower modules.
Chugoku Electric Power is buying power generated by the project under a 20-year feed-in-tariff contract at the rate of ¥40.0 ($0.32) per kilowatt hour.
Canadian Solar chairman and chief executive Shawn Qu said: “We will continue to execute on our energy business strategy to develop and deliver more quality solar projects in Japan and other countries.”
