Fred Olsen Windcarrier jack-up Bold Tern has secured turbine installation work at Innogy's 336MW Galloper wind farm off Suffolk.
The vessel will load a full complement of Siemens Gamesa 6MW machines from the Danish port of Esbjerg this week, and will load subsequent turbines from Great Yarmouth.

Details of Bold Tern's Galloper role were first reported exclusively in the latest subscriber-only edition of reNEWS.
The vessel will work alongside Swire Blue Ocean jack-up Pacific Orca, which has been on duty at Galloper since May.
Windcarrier said it had been able to quickly mobilise Bold Tern at low cost by re-engineering the grillage and sea fastening from its previous installation job at the Veja Mate project off Germany.
"This is a perfect demonstration of industry pulling together to advance a positive outcome for a project located on a site which is known to have some challenging characteristics,” said Fred Olsen Windcarrier commercial manager Martin Degen.
To date, 19 of 56 turbines have been installed at the project, which is scheduled to be fully commissioned in March 2018.
