Hamburg private equity company CEE has acquired a 12MW wind farm in Germany from Danish developer European Energy.

The project, which is located in Gilmerdingen in Lower Saxony, features six Siemens Gamesa G97 turbines with hub heights of 120 metres.

The acquisition brings CEE’s wind and solar portfolio to more than 600MW, the company said.

CEE subsidiary CEE Operations will take over commercial management of the project.

CEE chief executive Detlef Schreiber said: “This underscores our long-standing expertise in structuring, acquiring and operating renewable energy projects.”
