Pacifico Energy starts construction of 42MW Iwaki plant in Fukushima
Japanese company Pacifico Energy has started construction of the 42MW Iwaki solar plant in Japan.
The project, which is located near Iwaki City in Fukushima prefecture, will be built on 50 hectares of land and will generate approximately 48,000 megawatt hours a year of electricity for Tohoku Electric Power Company.
Toyo Engineering Corp is the engineering, procurement and construction contractor, with Trina Solar providing modules for the solar facility.
The Iwaki project is expected to come online in August 2019.
