Nordex hits 2GW in Ireland and UK
German manufacturer has installed a total of 862 turbines in the two countries
Nordex Group has installed and commissioned turbines totalling over 2GW in the UK and Ireland.
The German manufacturer said 862 machines are now operating in the two countries.
Nordex said just under 1.5GW is installed in the UK, with almost 600MW in Ireland.
The company installed its first turbines in the UK in 2001 and in Ireland in 2003.
Nordex managing director for the UK and Ireland Rich Furniss said: “We have built a strong team locally with over 230 staff who work increasingly closely with our HQ team.”
