The project, which will be built on 5159 hectares of land, is scheduled to be completed in 2018.

It will supply power to GM’s manufacturing facilities in Ohio.

GM global manager of renewable energy Rob Threlkeld said: “Starwood’s Northwest Ohio Wind project is helping us toward our goal of meeting the electricity needs of our global operations with 100% renewable energy.”
