Wiking on Galloper flight path
Germans outfit to provide helicopters for Siemens Gamesa at 336MW project
Wiking Helikopter Service is to provide support to Siemens Gamess at Innogy's 336MW Galloper offshore wind farm off the Suffolk coast in the UK.
The German outfit will use its new Airbus H145 aircraft to provide transport and hoist services for technicians at the site 30km off Suffolk.
Flights will initially take off from a helipad at Great Oakley Aerodrome in Essex before switching to Wiking's under construction base at Harwich International Port.
Galloper is set to feature 56 Siemens Gamesa 6MW turbines and is slated for commissioning early next year.
