The Scottish government has given the all clear to a 15-turbine extension at the operational Gordonbush wind farm in the Highlands.
The second phase will feature top power of 52.5MW with tips set at 130 metres across all but three machines, which will be pegged at 115 metres.
SSE has been operating the original 35-turbine Gordonbush since 2012. It features Senvion 2.05MW hardware.
Highland Council suggested the changes to the project in East Sutherland, which were adopted by SSE ahead of final determination by the Scottish government.
The utility developer said it will no “consider the best way possible to take this project forward”.
