Vestas races to Q3 finish line
Orders totalling 211MW secured in Mexico, Italy and Argentina
Vestas has secured orders totalling 211MW to finish off the third quarter.
In Mexico, the Danish manufacturer will deliver 27 of its V136-3.45MW turbines to an unnamed 93MW project in Tamaulipas.
Installation is due in 2018 with full operations in 2019 and the deal also includes a short-term service deal. The order pushed Vestas’s total from the most recent Mexican auction to 600MW.
In Italy, Vestas will supply a mix of V126 and V110 hardware to the 23MW Taverna Caduta and 15MW San Mauro in the south of the country. It will also supply V117 and V112 machines to Tozzi Sud's 38MW Monteverde. Deliveries at all three projects is due in the first quarter of 2018.
In the same country, V126-3.3MW hardware will be delivered to Bel Lavello Vigi’s 40MW Lavello in the second quarter of 2018.
In Argentina, Vestas is to supply V136-3.6MW machines to Grupo Frali's 40MW La Banderita project in La Pampa. Deliveries are due in the third quarter of 2018.
