BlackRock acquires Tormywheel
30.75MW project in Scotland consists of 15 Senvion MM92 2.05MW turbines
Asset manager BlackRock has acquired the operational 30.75MW Tormywheel wind farm in Scotland from Muirhall Energy and WWS Renewables.
Tormywheel, which is located south west of Breich in West Lothian, consists of 15 Senvion MM92 2.05MW turbines.
Muirhall and WWS said the deal enables them to progress a “number of consented projects currently in their portfolio”.
Muirhall managing director Chris Walker said: “We are delighted to have worked with BlackRock on this transaction and are excited at the future opportunities it opens up for us.”
BlackRock managing director and head of renewable power for Europe Rory O’Connor said: “This transaction represents BlackRock’s continued focus on renewable power, where the firm now has $4.9bn of equity assets under management.”
