Tower of 850kW V52 machine bends over at Pag project in Croatia
An investigation is underway into why a Vestas 850kW V52 turbine collapsed at the Pag wind park in Croatia.
A Vestas spokesman told reNEWS that no one had been injured during the incident, which resulted in the turbine’s bottom tower section bending over, and the site had been secured.
The exact cause of the incident has yet to be determined, he said.
“Vestas is in close contact with the customer regarding the root cause,” the spokesman added.
