Toyota revs up in Japan
Construction kicks off at 62MW PV plant set for operation in 2019
Pacifico Energy has started construction of the 62MW Toyota solar farm in Japan.
The project is located on mountain land in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, and will generate 74 million kilowatt hours a year of electricity for Chubu Electric Power.
Chiyoda Corp will serve as the engineering, procurement and construction contractor for the photovoltaic plant, which is expected to come online in December 2019.
Pacifico Energy is currently constructing more than 450MW of solar plants in Japan, including the 42MW Iwaki solar farm in Fukushima and the 257MW Sakuto facility in Okayama.
