UK green mission visits Taiwan
Representatives from 30 companies on three-day trip to Asian island
A UK trade and technology mission is visiting Taiwan to share experiences in the renewable energy sector, particularly offshore wind.
The mission, which runs from 18 to 20 October, includes representative from about 30 UK companies in two delegations.
They are an offshore wind group led by Crown Estate director of energy, minerals & infrastructure Huub den Rooijen, and a green finance delegation, including representatives from the City of London Corporation, the London Stock Exchange, the Green Investment Group and other UK green finance institutions.
Changhua county and UK Aon Taiwan have meanwhile signed a memorandum of understanding to work together in the offshore wind sector.
UK engineering company ODE has also officially opened an office in Taiwan and has started recruiting local engineers.
